TD’s Commitment
“We are committed to being a welcoming place for all customers, employees, and suppliers regardless of age, race, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or gender. Building an inclusive and diverse organization became a formal business strategy in 2005, with our Europe and Asia-Pacific regions more recently developing parallel strategies to align our global mission with local values. Our executives work to actively drive initiatives and outcomes to embed Inclusion and Diversity across the organization.”
Gender Equality
A pioneer in the Women in Leadership (WIL) space, TD created a formal programme and strategy in 2005.
Our WIL programme and Employee Resource councils provide practical insights and support on proactive career management, networking advice, flexibility at work, and personal branding to women building their career at TD.
LGBTQ2+
TD is a highly visible ally and the first major corporate sponsor of Pride in Toronto.
In 2018, we proudly waved the rainbow flag as sponsor of 97 Pride festivals, over 190 LGBTQ2+ community initiatives across North America and Europe, and engaged over 3,000 colleagues supporting LGBTQ2+ inclusion.
People with Disabilities
Over ten years ago, TD pioneered an Assistive Technologies program to provide technology tools and support to customers and employees with disabilities.
In 2018, we expanded our pilot hiring program with Specialisterne Canada to additional businesses. The program works to identify talented individuals with neurodiversities for key roles, helping us to hire 30 talented employees to date.
